According to my observation during early review at Kota Tinggi,the flood that happened on last December 2006 and early January 2007 has bring a lot of changes to Kota Tinggi area itself. There are two villages that terrible damage during the flood which is Kg.Kelantan and Kg. Tembioh.Both of the villages are situated beside the Johor River and the villagers are majority Malay and Chinesse.According to Penghulu Kota Tinggi which is Mr.Wan Ismail bin Wan Ngah ,3/4 of the Kota Tinggi are submerge during the flood and all schools at Kota Tinggi was become the displacement centre for the flood victims.The flood has happen at Kota Tinggi twicely at the short period.Based on the experience of the villager of Kg Kelantan that we interview,the second flood was more terrible than the first flood and the water take long time to of tide.During the second flood the villagers do not able to do anything to safe their things because it happen at 3.00am and the water rising very fast.The last bigger flood was happened 58 years ago at Kota Tinggi which is at 1948.During at the displacement center,the contribution such as foods,clothes,and others basic things has been given to all the flood victims.Even after the flood is over,the contribution is still contenously given to the flood victims either at the things form or money.This contribution was come from the government or copporate company and of course the Malaysians people itself.
